a new view

We noticed that all the photos  on this site were of only one room at a time and we wanted to show off the open floorplan, so we took these photos.

feb-091Here are the attic/master bedroom photos people have been asking about.  It is well on it’s way to becoming a relaxing retreat!  It has east and west facing windows,  slanted ceilings,  lots of storage, and a big, soon the be finished, closet.

We can’t wait to stain the floors up there! It will look so nice!  We also are going to carpet the area under the bed for added luxury and warmth.  (And, of course we will trim the door jam. )

feb-09Our upper stairwell has a lot of character, we wanted to show all of you these new photos.  It has vaulted ceilings, chair rail, south facing window, and newly stained wood steps.

New stain

dining roomdsc_7746We love how this one touch has completely transformed our home!!  It’s all  really coming together and looking fabulous! I feel like I’m walking on brand new floors now.

New bathroom tile

dsc_76081We are so excited to have the bathroom finally updated! It was hard work getting it done in one week!

entry-and-construction1We  just took photos of the entry way so you could see what the door looks like from the inside. We added the wall between the entry and dining room and took away the living room doorway wall that was at one time a solid bedroom wall.  We love the privacy of having an entry be a separate room.

We added a before and after photo of the entry so be sure and take a look.

Here is the newest photo I look of the kids room.  A while back we painted chalk board paint on the closet doors so the kids could draw on them. I’ll be adding all the new updates to the room pages as well.   P.S. we are planning on carpeting this room. dsc_7454

We just added a backsplash! We are so happy with the way it turned out! We used a really colorfull slate. All it needs is grout and sealer and we’re done!closet-doors-and-basement1
